Circulatory Massage uses oils and/or lotions in a full body massage with a focus placed on pathologies of the integumentary system. The therapy incorporates basic long and short strokes, kneading, friction, vibration, tapping, and compression. Client is instructed to undress to their comfort level. Client is appropriately drape throughout.

Shiatsu uses finger pressure on specific points as well as stretching and movement exercises
that move energy through the meridians to help clients increase their energy and well being.

Thai Massage works on the body’s energy lines with the practitioner using their hands, elbows, feet and knees and includes passive yoga poses and breathing. Specific points within the body are used to release blockages in the body’s energy lines and stimulate the energy flow, increasing flexibility and releasing stress and tension.

Chi Nei Tsang (CNT) focuses on harmonizing the energy (Qi flow) in the entire body by clearing
physical and emotional symptoms associated with imbalances of the internal organs. Clients will learn CNT self-healing tools.

Myofascial Release (MFR), as developed by John F. Barnes, PT. Myofascial Release frees connective tissue (fascial) restrictions, allowing for the relief of pain and restoration of movement. This whole-body approach addresses the entire myofascial system to effectively treat the source of pain and dysfunction, not just the symptoms.

Jin Shin uses healing touch to achieve a profound state of energetic balance. It is one of the healing arts that comes to us from the Oriental traditions and natural medicine. It is a simple, yet powerful, system that can be used either as a treatment for health problems and injuries or as a preventive measure to maintain health, energy and emotional well-being. It works by lightly touching and holding (but not massaging) two specific points on the body at the same time.

Foot Reflexology uses a simple, non-invasive method to help balance the body. It is a natural therapy that requires the application of a specific type of pressure on particular areas of the feet. It is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to every part of the body. The practice of reflexology techniques serve to relax, improve circulation and promote a general feeling of wellness.

Acupressure uses specific points with therapeutic application to treat common problems.

Tui Na utilizes hand techniques to treat painful obstructions. It uses oscillating and supplementary methods like compression, passive joint movement, traction, rubbing, kneading and rolling to restore correct anatomical musculoskeletal relationships, neuromuscular patterns, and to increase the circulation of blood and qi to remove biochemical irritants. Acupoints are selected to re-balance and harmonize the flow of qi through the meridians and collaterals in order to facilitate healing and prevent further injury.

Aromatherapy uses essential oil somatic application in accordance with scientific and energetic knowledge to treat in accordance with chemical and five element models.

Cupping is a Chinese medical treatment applied to the skin surface. It is a method of treating disease by causing local congestion. The mild suction provides an especially pleasant experience.

Acupuncture stimulates points along energy pathways in the body using thin metal needles, massage, heat, lasers, and magnets. Come by the Encinitas Community Acupuncture clinic.

Moxibustion is a method that burns herbs on or above the skin at acupuncture points to warm, stimulate and circulate the Qi and Blood in the channels.

Gua Sha is usually applied to the back and limbs. It is a method that removes blood stagnation considered pathogenic, promoting normal circulation and metabolic processes.

Qi Gong uses awareness of energy vibrations and pathways to influence, control, heal and strengthen the immune system, and to improve the functioning of various organ systems within the body. It focuses on breathing, hearing, visualizing, and muscle relaxation. Massage, and movement are also used to develop and control the body's intrinsic energy.

We don't accept Insurance

Most Insurance companies will pay for a 30 - 60 minute massage as well as acupuncture treatment depending on your benefits. Sometimes you may have to pay a deductible, but once that has been met: all you have to pay is your co-pay/co-insurance. We will gladly provide a bill for you to submit to your insurance upon request.
